Our young bitch Jasenak Sharmelj "Cara" is still too young for having babies.
She will have more health tests and a mental test performed at the age of two years.

Do you plan to buy a poodle or Australian shepherd? - Think about the following aspects

 

1. Do you have time and willingness to take care, go for daily walks and create activities to a dog of either of these

active dog breeds for about 15 years?

A dog must have other things to do than eating and sleeping! A poodle is a very active dog.

2 a. In case you intend to buy a poodle, do you have time and interest, in addition to all the actvities your active poodle needs, to take care of a poodle coat at least weekly for about 15 years?

2 b. In case you intend to buy an Australian shepherd, do you have time and interest to arrange activities, such as obedience training, agility, herding, search trials, tracking, etc. several times a week and long walks daily (at least 1,5 hours daily) for about 10-15 years? An Australian shepherd is a real working dog! Without work you can expect problems in daily life with your dog.

 

 

    • The less time you have for your dog, the bigger the risk for troubles and problem behaviors with your

      dog! A dog must never be left alone for more than a max. of 4-6 hours a day.

    • A dog is a dog, not a human being nor a child with four legs! The less knowledge you have on dog behavior, the bigger the risk for troubles and problems (such as biting, destroying things at home and aggression) with your dog!

    • Remember, a dog is a live animal, not a toy for small children! I do not sell puppies to families with children younger than 7 years, unless the adults have got a huge experience of dogs. 

    •   An adult person should always be responsible for the training, health and welfare of a dog! I do not sell puppies to a person younger than 15 years.

    • Children should never be left alone with a dog without supervision of an adult - small children are dangerous to small dogs, big dogs are dangerous to children.
